Nuno Pinheiro Torres appointed executive member of the Board of Directors of the Luso-American Development Foundation

Porto Faculty of Law is honoured to announce the appointment by the Prime Minister of Nuno Pinheiro Torres as an executive member of the Board of Directors of the Luso-American Development Foundation (FLAD).

With a career in International Law, Nuno Pinheiro Torres is part of the teaching staff of our Faculty's International Studies Programme. Prior to this appointment, he accumulated extensive experience in international and national bodies, having been Director-General for Defence Policy at the Ministry of National Defence between 2012 and 2020.

He participated in the United Nations mission that investigated Da'esh/ISIL crimes in Iraq (UNITAD), and in the United Nations Transitional Administration in East Timor (UNTAET).

According to the Director of the Porto Faculty of Law, Manuel Fontaine Campos, “this appointment testifies to the quality and impact of our teaching staff. I am confident that Dr. Nuno Pinheiro Torres will contribute to the development of Portuguese-American relations and to strengthening the Foundation's innovative projects.”
