Identification Card
The Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP) identification card, sponsored by the Caixa Geral de Depósitos (CGD) bank, identifies students, staff and professors within the framework of ongoing university activities.
Students, staff and professors should carry this card whenever they are on the campus.
In Lisbon the card features the following functions:
- Access and payment of the parking;
- Discounts in the cafeterias;
- Access to the library and the loan service for books and other publications;
- Payment for photocopies made at the self-service machines or by the UCP printing service;
- Discounts on books from the University bookstore.
The card also deploys an e-cash payment service, rechargeable at the Card Store and machines located throughout the faculties.
The identification card also enables lecturers and members of staff at the Regional Centre of Viseu to access classrooms and laboratories.
This card may have a bank rating, offering the advantages granted by the bank Caixa Geral de Depósitos within the scope of the institutional cooperation agreement between these two Portuguese institutions: UCP and CGD.
Advantages of the banking identification card:
This card is valid for the entire course period, for the students, and for 10 years for the professors and staff. The bank validity is 3 years, renewed automatically.
In the event of loss of card, it is necessary to request a new card to CGD and to ask for a provisional card at the Card Shop, paying €20 in the Treasury.
